Commanders Corner
Greetings! First, a big thanks to past Commander Harland DeLap and all of his officers. Harland had a very calming affect on all of us, and we sincerely thank him for his service.
This is a very busy time of year here at Post #173 with parking cars, Pumpkin Show and Bingo. Thanks to all who volunteer their time & efforts.
One thing I want I want to bring to your attention for this year, is a change in our scholarship. It will be necessary to contact the Post to request an application to be sent to the student. This will take place in April 2004. Something else that I am asking your help on, is to inform the Post of any shut-ins who might enjoy having a visit from some Legionnaires. We are making a concerted effort to keep in touch with our comades who are unable to attend Post functions.
Pumpkin Show is almost here! I invite all of you to stop in the club & visit. We have done a lot of work on the hall & clubroom and proudly show it off!!
In closing, I invite all of you to attend your weekly meetings. Every Thursday @ 7:30 pm. Enjoy the company of fellow Legionnaires, keep informed on Legion matters, and the good food!
